Systems Engineering Manager Program Delivery I Aus

Silentium Defence is a world leader in passive radar delivering advanced capability into complex defence environments. We are seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to take technical ownership of critical products and services across their full lifecycle, from concept through to delivery, sustainment and evolution.

This role is suited to an experienced systems engineering leader who thrives in technically complex environments and enjoys shaping outcomes. You will act as steward of technical maturity, maintaining engineering discipline of assigned programs, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring engineering rigor, governance and readiness at every stage.

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, including planning, design, integration, verification and sustainment
• Own engineering governance, configuration control and technical evidence to support readiness and acceptance reviews
• Drive requirements clarity, traceability and technical coherence across products and variants
• Lead technical decision making, trade studies and risk management in complex hardware software environments
• Coordinate engineers across systems, software, hardware and validation to deliver cohesive outcomes
• Engage closely with internal stakeholders and customers to communicate technical status, risks and maturity

What you bring

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• Strong experience leading systems engineering in complex, regulated environments
• Desired background in defence, aerospace, radar or similarly complex product based industries
• Experience with technical governance, integration and V&V
• A collaborative leadership style with sound judgement and initiative

Eligibility

• Australian citizenship is mandatory
• Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance
• Ability to meet ITAR requirements
